Im well stocked on novels and novellas I have read or want to read but theres something special about short stories that I wish I could explore more. I have already checked my library's catalogue and it isn't available at any of the libraries near me, nor is a digital version available. Short Stories like 'I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream' by Harlan Ellison and 'The Metamorphosis' by Franz Kafka I really really loved the titles mentioned above and I do like short stories. I listened to the BBC radio drama (thanks u/semi_colon) which was pretty great. I've checked through quite a few anthologies on the ISFDB page (thanks to those who recommended this), and even still the only one I was able to find available (at a reasonable price) is Science Fiction: A Historical Anthology: 729. Was also surprised that it wasn't available on ebook. However, I was quite surprised that so few of Harlan Ellison's books are still in print, even in the US it seems. His published works include over 1,700 short stories, novellas, screenplays, comic book scripts, teleplays, essays. I apologise for committing the Reddit sin of not stating I am not based in the US (based in Australia). His principal genre is speculative fiction. Is there a short story collection still in print that includes this Harlan Ellison short story? Or is it pretty much only available on audiobook or Googling for a PDF?ĮDIT: Thanks to everyone who has provided some suggestions.
